भगवान और धन

एक सेठ के पास एक व्यक्ति काम करता था । सेठ उस व्यक्ति पर बहुत विश्वास करता था जो भी जरुरी काम हो वह सेठ हमेशा उसी व्यक्ति से कहता था।

वो व्यक्ति भगवान का बहुत बड़ा भक्त था वह सदा भगवान के चिंतन भजन कीर्तन स्मरण सत्संग आदि का लाभ लेता रहता था ।

एक दिन उस व्यक्ति ने सेठ से श्री जगन्नाथ धाम यात्रा करने के लिए कुछ दिन की छुट्टी मांगी सेठ ने उसे छुट्टी देते हुए कहा भाई मैं तो हूं संसारी आदमी हमेशा व्यापार के काम में व्यस्त रहता हूं जिसके कारण कभी तीर्थ गमन का लाभ नहीं ले पाता । तुम जा ही रहे हो तो यह लो 100 रुपए मेरी ओर से इससे श्री जगन्नाथ प्रभु के चरणों में समर्पित कर देना । भक्त सेठ से सौ रुपए लेकर श्री जगन्नाथ धाम यात्रा पर निकल गया।

कई दिन की पैदल यात्रा करने के बाद वह श्री जगन्नाथ पुरी पहुंचा । मंदिर की ओर प्रस्थान करते समय उसने रास्ते में देखा कि बहुत सारे संत, भक्त जन, वैष्णव जन, हरि नाम संकीर्तन बड़ी मस्ती में कर रहे हैं ।सभी की आंखों से अश्रु धारा बह रही है । जोर-जोर से हरि बोल, हरि बोल गूंज रहा है । संकीर्तन में बहुत आनंद आ रहा था। भक्त भी वहीं रुक कर हरिनाम संकीर्तन का आनंद लेने लगा ।फिर उसने देखा कि संकीर्तन करने वाले भक्तजन इतनी देर से संकीर्तन करने के कारण उनके होंठ सूखे हुए हैं वह दिखने में कुछ भूखे ही प्रतीत हो रहे थे उसने सोचा क्यों ना सेठ के सौ रुपए से इन भक्तों को भोजन करा दूँ।उसने उन सभी को उस सौ रुपए में से भोजन की व्यवस्था कर दी। सबको भोजन कराने के बाद उसे भोजन व्यवस्था में उसे कुल 98 रुपए खर्च करने पड़े ।

उसके पास दो रुपए बच गए उसने सोचा चलो अच्छा हुआ दो रुपए जगन्नाथ जी के चरणों में सेठ के नाम से चढ़ा दूंगा । जब सेठ पूछेगा तो मैं कहूंगा वह पैसे चढ़ा दिए । सेठ यह नहीं कहेगा 100 रुपए चढ़ाए । सेठ पूछेगा पैसे चढ़ा दीजिए। मैं बोल दूंगा कि , पैसे चढ़ा दिए । झूठ भी नहीं होगा और काम भी हो जाएगा ।

वह भक्त श्री जगन्नाथ जी के दर्शनों के लिए मंदिर में प्रवेश किया श्री जगन्नाथ जी की छवि को निहारते हुए हुए अपने हृदय में उनको विराजमान कराया ।अंत में उसने सेठ के दो रुपए श्री जगन्नाथ जी के चरणो में चढ़ा दिए, और बोला यह दो रुपए सेठ ने भेजे हैं ।

उसी रात सेठ के पास स्वप्न में श्री जगन्नाथ जी आए और बोले सेठ तुम्हारे 98 रुपए मुझे मिल गए हैं यह कहकर श्री जगन्नाथ जी अंतर्ध्यान हो गए ।

सेठ सोचने लगा मेरा नौकर बड़ा ईमानदार है ,पर अचानक उसे क्या जरुरत पड़ गई थी वह दो रुपए भगवान को कम चढ़ाया? उसने दो रुपए का क्या खा लिया ? उसे ऐसी क्या जरूरत पड़ी ? ऐसा विचार सेठ करता रहा ।

काफी दिन बीतने के बाद भक्त वापस गांव आया और सेठ के पास पहुंचा। सेठ ने कहा कि मेरे पैसे जगन्नाथ जी को चढ़ा दी ? भक्त बोला हां मैंने पैसे चढ़ा दिए ।

सेठ ने कहा पर तुमने 98 रुपए क्यों चढ़ाए दो रुपए किस काम में प्रयोग किए । तब भक्त ने सारी बात बताई की उसने 98 रुपए से संतो को भोजन करा दिया था । और ठाकुर जी को सिर्फ दो रुपए चढ़ाये थे ।

सेठ बड़ा खुश हुआ वह भक्त के चरणों में गिर पड़ा और बोला आप धन्य हो आपकी वजह से मुझे श्री जगन्नाथ जी के दर्शन यंही बैठे-बैठे हो गए।

भगवान को आपके धन की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है । भगवान को वह 98 रुपए स्वीकार है जो उनके भक्तों की सेवा में खर्च किए गए और उस दो रुपए की कोई महत्व नहीं है जो उनके चरणों में नगद चढ़ाए गए । भक्ति प्रिय माधव भगवान को भक्ति ही प्रिय है और वह भक्तों के पास होती है। अतः भगवान स्वंय भक्तों की भक्ति व सेवा करते हैं व कोई करे तो अत्यंत प्रसन्न होते है

Yesterday, I was driving, and the FM radio went off for few seconds. I thought, I should have an iPod. Then suddenly I realized that I have not used my iPod in last 6 months. And then, more things, Handy cam in last 2 years, Digital Camera in last 2 months, DVD player in last 1 month and many more.

Now I can say that I bought that Handy cam just out of impulse, I have used it twice only in last 4 years. So, what's wrong and where?

When I look at myself or my friends I can see it everywhere. We are not happy with what we have but all are stressed and not happy for the things we don't have. You have a Santro, but you want City; You have a City, but you want Skoda. Just after buying a new phone, we need another one. Better laptop, bigger TV, faster car, bigger house, more money, and I means, these examples are endless.

The point is, does it actually worth?

Do we ever think if we actually need those things before we want them?

After this, I was forced to think what I need and what I don't. May be I didn't need this Handy cam or the iPod or that DVD player.

When I see my father back at home. He has a simple BPL colour TV, he doesn't need 32" Sony LCD wall mount. He has a cell phone worth Rs 2,500. Whenever I ask him to change the phone, he always says, "It’s a phone; I need this just for calls."And believe me; he is much happier in life than me with those limited resources and simple gadgets.

The very basic reason why he is happy with so little is that he doesn't want things in life to make it luxurious, but he wants only those things which are making his life easier.

It's a very fine line between these two, but after looking my father's life style closely, I got the point. He needs a cell phone but not the iPhone. He needs a TV but not the 32" plasma. He needs a car but not an expensive one.

Initially I had lot of questions.I am earning good; still I am not happy...why? I have all luxuries; still I am stressed.... ......why? I had a great weekend, still I am feeling tired...... why?

I met lot of people, I thought over it again and again, I still don't know if I got the answers, but certainly figured out few things. I realize that one thing which is keeping me stressed is the "stay connected" syndrome. I realized that, at home also I am logged in on messengers, checking mails, using social networks, and on the top of that, the windows mobile is not letting me disconnected. On the weekend itself, trying to avoid unwanted calls and that is keeping my mind always full of stress.

I realized that I am spending far lesser money than what I earn; even then I am always worried about money and more money.

I realized that I am saving enough money I would ever need, whenever needed. Still I am stressed about job and salary and spend.

May be, many people will call this approach "not progressive attitude", but I want my life back.

Ultimately it's a single life, a day gone is a day gone. I believe if I am not happy tonight, I'll never be happy tomorrow morning.

I finally realized that meeting friends, spending quality time with your loved one's; spending time with yourself is the most important thing.

If on Sunday you are alone and you don't have anybody to talk with, then all that luxuries life, all that money is wasted.

May be cutting down your requirements, re-calculating your future goal in the light of today's happiness is a worthwhile thing to do.

May be selling off your Santro and buying Honda City on EMIs is not a good idea. I believe putting your happiness ahead of money is the choice we need to make.

I think, a lot can be said and done but what we need the most is re-evaluation of the value of happiness and time we are giving to our life and people associated with it

Three Ships

There were three ships which were nearby when the Titanic sunk.

One of them was known as the Sampson. It was 7 miles away from the Titanic and they saw the white flares signaling danger, but because the crew had been hunting seals illegally and didn't want to be caught, they turned and went the opposite direction away from the Titanic.

This ship represents those of us who are so busy in our own sin and lives that we can't recognize when someone else is in need.

The next ship was the Californian. This ship was only 14 miles away from the Titanic, but they were surrounded by ice fields and the captain looked out and saw the white flares, but because the conditions weren't favorable and it was dark, he decided to go back to bed and wait until morning. The crew tried to convince themselves that nothing was happening. This ship represents those of us who say I can't do anything now. The conditions aren't right and so we wait until conditions are perfect before going out.

The last ship was the Carpathia. This ship was actually headed in a southern direction 58 miles away from the Titanic when they heard the distress cries over the radio. The captain of this ship knelt down, prayed to God for direction and then turned the ship around and went full steam ahead through the ice fields. This was the ship that saved the 705 survivors of the Titanic.

I really wish that we all could be Carpathians in life, unlike more Sampsons and Californians... this world could be a more beautiful place to live in.

A man and his son were walking in the forest.  Suddenly the boy tripped and, feeling a sharp pain, he screams "AHHHH!"

उसको तो फ़र्क पड़ता है

एक बार समुद्री तूफ़ान के बाद हजारों लाखों मछलियाँ किनारे पर रेत पर तड़प तड़प कर मर रहीँ थीं ! इस भयानक स्थिति को देखकर पास में रहने वाले एक 6 वर्ष के बच्चे से रहा नहीं गया, और वह एक एक मछली उठा कर समुद्र में वापस फेकनें लगा !

यह देख कर उसकी माँ बोली, बेटा लाखों की संख्या में है , तू कितनों की जान बचाएगा ,यह सुनकर बच्चे ने अपनी स्पीड और बढ़ा दी, माँ फिर बोली बेटा रहनें दे कोई फ़र्क नहीं पड़ता ! बच्चा जोर जोर से रोने लगा और एक मछली को समुद्र में फेकतें हुए जोर से बोला माँ "इसको तो फ़र्क पड़ता है"

दूसरी मछली को उठाता और फिर बोलता माँ "इसको तो फ़र्क पड़ता हैं" ! माँ ने बच्चे को सीने से लगा लिया !

किसी  शहर  में, एक आदमी प्राइवेट  कंपनी  में  जॉब  करता था . वो  अपनी  ज़िन्दगी  से  खुश  नहीं  था , हर  समय  वो  किसी  न  किसी  समस्या  से  परेशान  रहता  था .

एक बार  शहर  से  कुछ  दूरी  पर  एक  महात्मा  का  काफिला  रुका . शहर  में  चारों  और  उन्ही की चर्चा  थी.

बहुत  से  लोग  अपनी  समस्याएं  लेकर  उनके  पास  पहुँचने  लगे ,उस आदमी  ने  भी  महात्मा  के  दर्शन  करने  का  निश्चय  किया .

छुट्टी के दिन  सुबह -सुबह ही उनके  काफिले  तक  पहुंचा . बहुत इंतज़ार  के  बाद उसका  का  नंबर  आया .

वह  बाबा  से  बोला  ,” बाबा , मैं  अपने  जीवन  से  बहुत  दुखी  हूँ , हर  समय  समस्याएं  मुझे  घेरी  रहती  हैं , कभी ऑफिस  की  टेंशन  रहती  है , तो  कभी  घर  पर  अनबन  हो  जाती  है , और  कभी  अपने  सेहत  को  लेकर  परेशान रहता  हूँ ….

बाबा बोले, “ बेटा, कल  रात  तुमने  अनुभव  किया कि  चाहे  कितनी  भी  कोशिश  कर  लो  सारे  ऊंट एक  साथ  नहीं  बैठ  सकते …तुम  एक  को  बैठाओगे  तो  कहीं  और  कोई  दूसरा  खड़ा  हो  जाएगा....इसी  तरह  तुम एक  समस्या  का  समाधान  करोगे  तो  किसी  कारणवश  दूसरी खड़ी हो  जाएगी ..

Impact of Brexit

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

7. अच्छी आदत - कोई न कोई ऐसी हॉबी विकसित करें, जिसे करने में आपको मज़ा आता हो, मसलन गार्डेनिंग, पढ़ना, लिखना। फालतू बातों में समय बर्बाद करना ज़िंदगी के साथ किया जाने वाला सबसे बड़ा अपराध है। कुछ न कुछ ऐसा करना चाहिए, जिससे आपको खुशी मिले और उसे आप अपनी आदत में शुमार करके नियमित रूप से करें।

8. ध्यान - रोज सुबह कम से कम दस मिनट ध्यान करना चाहिए। ये दस मिनट आपको अपने ऊपर खर्च करने चाहिए। इसी तरह शाम को भी कुछ वक्त अपने साथ गुजारें। इस तरह आप खुद को जान पाएंगे।

9. क्रोध से बचना - कभी अपना गुस्सा ज़ाहिर न करें। जब कभी आपको लगे कि आपका दोस्त आपके साथ तल्ख हो रहा है, तो आप उस वक्त उससे दूर हो जाएं, बजाय इसके कि वहीं उसका हिसाब-किताब करने पर आमदा हो जाएं।

10. अंतिम समय - जब यमराज दस्तक दें, तो बिना किसी दुख, शोक या अफसोस के साथ उनके साथ निकल पड़ना चाहिए अंतिम यात्रा पर, खुशी-खुशी। शोक, मोह के बंधन से मुक्त हो कर जो यहां से निकलता है, उसी का जीवन सफल होता है।

मुझे नहीं पता कि खुशवंत सिंह ने पीएचडी की थी या नहीं। पर इन्हें पढ़ने के बाद मुझे लगने लगा है कि ज़िंदगी के डॉक्टर भी होते हैं। ऐसे डॉक्टर ज़िंदगी बेहतर बनाने का फॉर्मूला देते हैं । ये ज़िंदगी के डॉक्टर की ओर से ज़िंदगी जीने के लिए दिए गए नुस्खे है।

कूड़े का ट्रक

एक दिन एक व्यक्ति ऑटो से रेलवे स्टेशन जा रहा था।ऑटो वाला बड़े आराम से ऑटो चला रहा था। एक कार अचानक ही पार्किंग से निकल कर रोड पर आ गयी। ऑटो चालक ने तेजी से ब्रेक लगाया और कार, ऑटो से टकराते टकराते बची।

कार चालक गुस्से में ऑटो वाले को ही भला-बुरा कहने लगा जबकि गलती कार- चालक की थी।

ऑटो चालक एक सत्संगी (सकारात्मक विचार सुनने-सुनाने वाला) था। उसने कार वाले की बातों पर गुस्सा नहीं किया और क्षमा माँगते  हुए आगे बढ़ गया।

ऑटो में बैठे व्यक्ति को कार वाले की हरकत पर गुस्सा आ रहा था और उसने ऑटो वाले से पूछा तुमने उस कार वाले को बिना कुछ कहे ऐसे ही क्यों जाने दिया। उसने तुम्हें भला-बुरा कहा जबकि गलती तो उसकी थी।हमारी किस्मत अच्छी है, नहीं तो उसकी वजह से हम अभी अस्पताल में होते।

ऑटो वाले ने कहा साहब बहुत से लोग गार्बेज ट्रक (कूड़े का ट्रक) की तरह होते हैं। वे बहुत सारा कूड़ा अपने दिमाग में भरे हुए चलते हैं। जिन चीजों की जीवन में कोई ज़रूरत नहीं होती उनको मेहनत करके जोड़ते रहते हैं जैसे क्रोध, घृणा, चिंता, निराशा आदि। जब उनके दिमाग में इनका कूड़ा बहुत अधिक हो जाता है तो वे अपना बोझ हल्का करने के लिए इसे दूसरों पर फेंकने का मौका ढूँढ़ने लगते हैं।

इसलिए मैं ऐसे लोगों से दूरी बनाए रखता हूँ और उन्हें दूर से ही मुस्करा कर अलविदा कह देता हूँ। क्योंकि अगर उन जैसे लोगों द्वारा गिराया हुआ कूड़ा मैंने स्वीकार कर लिया तो मैं भी एक कूड़े का ट्रक बन जाऊँगा और अपने साथ साथ आसपास के लोगों पर भी वह कूड़ा गिराता रहूँगा।

मैं सोचता हूँ जिंदगी बहुत ख़ूबसूरत है इसलिए जो हमसे अच्छा व्यवहार करते हैं उन्हें धन्यवाद कहो और जो हमसे अच्छा व्यवहार नहीं करते उन्हें मुस्कुराकर माफ़ कर दो। हमें यह याद रखना चाहिए कि सभी मानसिक रोगी केवल अस्पताल में ही नहीं रहते हैं। कुछ हमारे आस-पास खुले में भी घूमते रहते हैं । 
                                                                                                       

प्रकृति का नियम: यदि खेत में बीज न डाले जाएँ तो कुदरत उसे घास-फूस से भर देती है।
उसी तरह से यदि दिमाग में सकारात्मक विचार न भरें जाएँ तो नकारात्मक विचार अपनी जगह बना ही लेते हैं।*

मन का दर्पण

एक गुरुकुल के आचार्य अपने शिष्य की सेवा से बहुत प्रभावित हुए. विद्या पूरी होने के बाद जब शिष्य विदा होने लगा तो गुरू ने उसे आशीर्वाद के रूप में एक दर्पण दिया.

वह साधारण दर्पण नहीं था. उस दिव्य दर्पण में किसी भी व्यक्ति के मन के भाव को दर्शाने की क्षमता थी.
.
शिष्य, गुरू के इस आशीर्वाद से बड़ा प्रसन्न था. उसने सोचा कि चलने से पहले क्यों न दर्पण की क्षमता की जांच कर ली जाए.
.
परीक्षा लेने की जल्दबाजी में उसने दर्पण का मुंह सबसे पहले गुरुजी के सामने कर दिया.
.
शिष्य को तो सदमा लग गया. दर्पण यह दर्शा रहा था कि गुरुजी के हृदय में मोह, अहंकार, क्रोध आदि दुर्गुण स्पष्ट नजर आ रहे हैं.
.
मेरे आदर्श, मेरे गुरूजी इतने अवगुणों से भरे हैं ! यह सोचकर वह बहुत दुखी हुआ. दुखी मन से वह दर्पण लेकर गुरुकुल से रवाना हो गया तो हो गया लेकिन रास्ते भर मन में एक ही बात चलती रही. जिन गुरुजी को समस्त दुर्गुणों से रहित एक आदर्श पुरूष समझता था लेकिन दर्पण ने तो कुछ और ही बता दिया.
.
उसके हाथ में दूसरों को परखने का यंत्र आ गया था. इसलिए उसे जो मिलता उसकी परीक्षा ले लेता.
.
उसने अपने कई इष्ट मित्रों तथा अन्य परिचितों के सामने दर्पण रखकर उनकी परीक्षा ली. सब के हृदय में कोई न कोई दुर्गुण अवश्य दिखाई दिया.
.
जो भी अनुभव रहा सब दुखी करने वाला. वह सोचता जा रहा था कि संसार में सब इतने बुरे क्यों हो गए हैं. सब दोहरी मानसिकता वाले लोग हैं.
.
जो दिखते हैं दरअसल वे हैं नहीं. इन्हीं निराशा से भरे विचारों में डूबा दुखी मन से वह किसी तरह घर तक पहुंच गया.
.
उसे अपने माता-पिता का ध्यान आया. उसके पिता की तो समाज में बड़ी प्रतिष्ठा है. उसकी माता को तो लोग साक्षात देवतुल्य ही कहते हैं. इनकी परीक्षा की जाए.
.
उसने उस दर्पण से माता-पिता की भी परीक्षा कर ली. उनके हृदय में भी कोई न कोई दुर्गुण देखा. ये भी दुर्गुणों से पूरी तरह मुक्त नहीं है. संसार सारा मिथ्या पर चल रहा है.
.
अब उस बालक के मन की बेचैनी सहन के बाहर हो चुकी थी.
.
उसने दर्पण उठाया और चल दिया गुरुकुल की ओर. शीघ्रता से पहुंचा और सीधा जाकर अपने गुरूजी के सामने खड़ा हो गया.
.
गुरुजी उसके मन की बेचैनी देखकर सारी बात का अंदाजा लगा चुके थे.
.
चेले ने गुरुजी से विनम्रतापूर्वक कहा- गुरुदेव, मैंने आपके दिए दर्पण की मदद से देखा कि सबके दिलों में तरह-तरह के दोष हैं. कोई भी दोषरहित सज्जन मुझे अभी तक क्यों नहीं दिखा ?
.
क्षमा के साथ कहता हूं कि स्वयं आपमें और अपने माता-पिता में मैंने दोषों का भंडार देखा. इससे मेरा मन बड़ा व्याकुल है.
.
तब गुरुजी हंसे और उन्होंने दर्पण का रुख शिष्य की ओर कर दिया. शिष्य दंग रह गया. उसके मन के प्रत्येक कोने में राग-द्वेष, अहंकार, क्रोध जैसे दुर्गुण भरे पड़े थे. ऐसा कोई कोना ही न था जो निर्मल हो.
.
गुरुजी बोले- बेटा यह दर्पण मैंने तुम्हें अपने दुर्गुण देखकर जीवन में सुधार लाने के लिए दिया था न कि दूसरों के दुर्गुण खोजने के लिए.
.
जितना समय तुमने दूसरों के दुर्गुण देखने में लगाया उतना समय यदि तुमने स्वयं को सुधारने में लगाया होता तो अब तक तुम्हारा व्यक्तित्व बदल चुका होता.
.
मनुष्य की सबसे बड़ी कमजोरी यही है कि वह दूसरों के दुर्गुण जानने में ज्यादा रुचि रखता है. स्वयं को सुधारने के बारे में नहीं सोचता. इस दर्पण की यही सीख है जो तुम नहीं समझ सके.
.
कितनी बड़ी बात कही उन्होंने. बेशक संसार में दुर्गुणों की भरमार है परंतु हममें भी कम अवगुण तो नहीं हैं. किसी और में दोष खोजने से बड़ा अवगुण क्या है. 
.
यदि हम स्वयं में थोड़ा-थोड़ा करके सुधार करने लगें तो हमारा व्यक्तित्व परिवर्तित हो जाएगा. पर हम ऐसा करेंगे नहीं.
.
कारण, सबसे कठिन कार्य तो यही है स्वयं की कमी को परखना, उसे स्वीकारना और ठीक करने की हिम्मत दिखाना. हम अपनी कमियों को ढंकने के लिए कैसे-कैसे बनावटी सहारे लेते हैं.
.
अपने अंदर आई हर कमी के लिए दूसरों को दोषी मानने लगते हैं. मैंने यह काम इसलिए किया क्योंकि उसने मुझसे ऐसा करा. मेरे अंदर ये बुराई इसलिए क्योंकि इसी बुराई से मैं दूसरे पर हावी हो रहा हूं.
.
उसने यह न किया होता तो मैं ये न होता, आदि आदि. आप अपने लिए जिम्मेदार हैं. किसी और के कारण आप अपने अंदर दुर्गुण क्यों भरते जा रहे हैं. ये दुर्गुण ऐसे हावी होंगे कि आप इनका प्रयोग ऐसे लोगों पर भी करेंगे जो इससे मुक्त थे. फिर उसे भी आपकी तरह बहाने मिलेंगे.
.
जरा शांति से सोचिएगा कि आप क्या करते जा रहे हैं.

राजा का हाथी

एक राजा के पास कई हाथी थे, लेकिन एक हाथी बहुत शक्तिशाली था, बहुत आज्ञाकारी, समझदार व युद्ध-कौशल में निपुण था। बहुत से युद्धों में वह भेजा गया था और वह राजा को विजय दिलाकर वापस लौटा था, इसलिए वह महाराज का सबसे प्रिय हाथी था।

समय गुजरता गया ...और एक समय ऐसा भी आया, जब वह वृद्ध दिखने लगा। अब वह पहले की तरह कार्य नहीं कर पाता था। इसलिए अब राजा उसे युद्ध क्षेत्र में भी नहीं भेजते थे।

एक दिन वह सरोवर में जल पीने के लिए गया, लेकिन वहीं कीचड़ में उसका पैर धँस गया और फिर धँसता ही चला गया।उस हाथी ने बहुत कोशिश की, लेकिन वह उस कीचड़ से स्वयं को नहीं निकाल पाया।

उसकी चिंघाड़ने की आवाज़ से लोगों को यह पता चल गया कि वह हाथी संकट में है।हाथी के फँसने का समाचार राजा तक भी पहुँचा। राजा समेत सभी लोग हाथी के आसपास इकट्ठा हो गए और विभिन्न प्रकार के शारीरिक प्रयत्न उसे निकालने के लिए करने लगे। जब बहुत देर तक प्रयास करने के उपरांत कोई मार्ग नहीं निकला तो राजा ने अपने सबसे अनुभवी मंत्री को बुलवाया।

मंत्री ने आकर घटनास्थल का निरीक्षण किया और फिर राजा को सुझाव दिया कि सरोवर के चारों और युद्ध के नगाड़े बजाए जाएँ। सुनने वालों को विचित्र लगा कि भला नगाड़े बजाने से वह फँसा हुआ हाथी बाहर कैसे निकलेगा, जो अनेक व्यक्तियों के शारीरिक प्रयत्न से बाहर निकल नहीं पाया।

आश्चर्यजनक रूप से जैसे ही युद्ध के नगाड़े बजने प्रारंभ हुए, वैसे ही उस मृतप्राय हाथी के हाव-भाव में परिवर्तन आने लगा। पहले तो वह धीरे-धीरे करके खड़ा हुआ और फिर सबको हतप्रभ करते हुए स्वयं ही कीचड़ से बाहर निकल आया।

अब मंत्री ने सबको स्पष्ट किया कि हाथी की शारीरिक क्षमता में कमी नहीं थी, आवश्यकता मात्र उसके अंदर उत्साह के संचार करने की थी।

हाथी की इस कहानी से यह स्पष्ट होता है कि यदि हमारे मन में एक बार उत्साह – उमंग जाग जाए तो फिर हमें कार्य करने की ऊर्जा स्वतः ही मिलने लगती है और कार्य के प्रति उत्साह का मनुष्य की उम्र से कोई संबंध नहीं रह जाता। कभी – कभी निरंतर मिलने वाली असफलताओं से व्यक्ति यह मान लेता है कि अब वह पहले की तरह कार्य नहीं कर सकता, लेकिन यह पूर्ण सच नहीं है। जीवन में उत्साह बनाए रखने के लिए यह आवश्यक है कि मनुष्य सकारात्मक चिंतन बनाए रखे और निराशा को हावी न होने दे।

सकारात्मक बनिए !! हार मत मानिए !!

Lunch With God

A little boy wanted to meet God! He packed his suitcase with two sets of his dress and some packets of cakes! He started his journey, he walked a long distance and found a park! He was feeling tired, so, he decided to sit in the park and take some refreshment! He opened a packet of cake to eat!

He noticed an old woman sitting nearby, sad with hunger, so he offered her a piece of cake!

She gratefully accepted it with a wide look and smiled at him! Her smile was so pretty that the boy longed to see it again! After sometime he offered her another piece of cake! Again, she accepted it and smiled at him! The boy was delighted!

They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but never said a word! While it grew dark, the boy was frightened and he got up to leave but before he had gone more than a few steps, he ran back and gave the woman a hug and she kissed him with her prettiest smile!

Back home, when the boy knocked the door, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face!

She asked him, "What did you do today that makes you look so happy?"

He replied, "I had lunch with God!"

Before his mother could respond, he added, "You know what? She's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen in my life!"

Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home! Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and asked, "Mom, what did you do today that made you so happy?"

She replied, "I ate cakes in the park with God!"

Before her son responded, she added, "You know, he's much younger than I expected!"

Remember, nobody knows how God will look like! People come into our lives for a reason, for a season or for a lifetime!

Accept all of them equally.. .. .. .. .. ..LET THEM SEE GOD IN YOU..!!

Power Of Collectivity

A farmer grew award-winning corn. Each year he entered his corn in the state fair where it won a blue ribbon.

One year a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learned something interesting about how he grew it. The reporter discovered that the farmer shared his seed corn with his neighbors. “How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors when they are entering corn in competition with yours each year?” the reporter asked. “Why sir,” said the farmer, “didn’t you know?

The wind picks up pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field. If my neighbours grow inferior corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my corn. If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbours grow good corn.”

So is with our lives. Those who want to live meaningfully and well must help enrich the lives of others, for the value of a life is measured by the lives it touches. And those who choose to be happy must help others find happiness, for the welfare of each is bound up with the welfare of all.

Call it power of collectivity.

Call it a principle of success.

Call it a law of life.

The fact is, none of us truly wins, until we all win!!

I went to a Inter-Religion Integration Seminar.

The Bishop came, laid his hands on my hand and said, “By the will of Jesus Christ, you will walk today!”

I smiled and told him I was not paralysed.

The Rabbi came, laid his hands on my hand and said, “By the will of God Almighty, you will walk today!

I was less amused when I told him there was nothing wrong with me.

The Mullah came, took my hands and said, “Insha Allah, you will walk today!”

I snapped at him, “There’s nothing wrong with me”.

The Hindu sadhu came and said "Beta, you will walk on your legs today."

I said "Babaji - nothing wrong with my legs".

The Buddhist Monk came, held my hands and said, “By the will of The Great Buddha, you will walk today!”

I rudely told him there was nothing wrong with me.

After the Seminar, I stepped outside and found my car had been stolen.

I believe in all Religions now......
